Taryn Kelly is an international speaker, teacher and the owner of Mind-Body-Balance- a home based holistic business in Kansas City, MO. Always fascinated with Eastern medicine, Taryn started on her metaphysical journey 7 years ago, working with such individuals as: B. Alan Wallace, Lama Surya Das, Edd Edwards, Donna Eden, Dr. Debra Greene, Dr. Norm Shealy, Dr. Garland Landrith, Mary Morrissey and Master Stephen Co. Taryn is a gifted and certified Reiki Master, Touch For Health Facilitator, Advanced Pranic Healer, Transcutaneous Acupuncturist, Meditation Instructor and Shaman. She uses her skillsets to alleviate people’s pain and health ailments, promote relaxation, stress reduction, and provide overall restoration for one’s physical, mental and emotional well-being. Taryn also shares her gifts and talents as an Affiliate Practitioner at Your Wellness Connection, teaching classes as well as attending them, in order to continue to expand her knowledge base and advance her practice.
Along with her passion for energy work, Taryn is a Manager with Beautycounter- a company who creates safe skincare products and pushes for Federal regulation in the cosmetic industry to eradicate harsh chemicals and toxins from everyday beauty products. Taryn frequently hosts community events in order to educate individuals on the importance of making healthy choices for themselves, their families, and Mother Earth.
Taryn spends much of her free time at Unity Temple on the Plaza, where she is spiritually fed and has her soul replenished. Along with attending services, Taryn is the Vice President of the Board of Directors, leads mediations and teaches classes in order to serve her congregation as well as the community at large. Her love for her spiritual home has prompted her to aide in transforming Unity Temple from a church into a center of well-being, where all are welcomed and embraced. Taryn has formed a partnership between Unity and Hartford Holidays Travel Agency, creating Spirit-At-Sea, yearly spiritual cruises which host a variety of guest speakers, holistic seminars and classes aimed to enrich the lives of all who desire to live a more spiritually fulfilled life. This September, she will be co-facilitating a Shamanic class with Temple Hayes on one of these incredible cruises from Budapest to Prague, so join her if you can!
Taryn’s education includes a B.A. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in Psychology with minors in Sociology and Spanish. She also graduated from the Kauffman FastTrac New Venture Program, is a member of the National Association of Professional Women, and volunteers with the Human Rights Campaign, Alzheimer’s Association, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, ALS Association and The Foundation for AIDS Research.
